Freshwater Systems Semi-Automatic carbon filters are a fully Australian manufactured whole of house filter system containing granular activated carbon, or multi-media filter, for filtering mains potable water. These systems are commonly used for the removal of chlorine, organic chemicals, taste, odour and sediment.
Granular carbon filtration effectively removes chemicals and contaminants from even mains water, leaving great tasting water without unpleasant smell, taste and discolouration.
Freshwater Carbon Filters come in Fully Automatic and Semi- Automatic models, with variant to accommodate the removal of specific contaminants:
Carbon Filter doesn’t need specific timing on backwash, generally every 2-3 months. The Freshwater Systems Semi-Automatic model is a popular, easy-to-use with simple back-wash process. A great filtration option when electricity access is limited.

Dianne Evans –
We purchased these carbon filters for our vehicle washing. The service technician removed the old system and installed a semi automatic system. The technician explained how the system worked, and carried out a complete service while they were there. We have arranged for them to come back in 6 months for a service to ensure the system is kept working efficiently.
