Demineralised water, also known as deionised water, refers to water that has been treated to remove dissolved salts, minerals, and other impurities. These ions, typically present in untreated water, include calcium, magnesium, sodium, chloride, and sulphates, which can cause scaling, corrosion, or contamination in sensitive industrial equipment.
Demineralisation processes produce water with a low electrical conductivity, reduce hard mineral deposits and scale buildup. This improves equipment lifespan and maintenance, enhancing product quality and importantly, increases the efficiency of heat exchangers such as boilers and cooling systems.
