Drinking Water

Drinking water is commonly the highest priority for clients coming to us for water filtration for their home, caravan or office.

The level of filtration required for safe consumption varies greatly, so finding the right system often needs some professional “know-how”.

Although we are often treating mains water to make it more palatable, some other alternative sources of water require treatment to make them safe for consumption. We offer a great guide for selecting the right system in our Choosing a Water Filter page.

Mains Water

Many of our customers come to us wishing to filter mains water to remove certain contaminants, or to improve taste, colour or smell caused by municipal mains water treatment. Even mains water contains substances that are difficult to remove, such as heavy metals, PFAS, nano-plastics and chemical contaminants that may be harmful to health.

When clients wish to remove all contaminants, for pure drinking water or as a base to remineralise to their preference we usually recommend Reverse Osmosis for these customers.

Many customers require filtration to remove sediment, or heavy dosing of chlorine or chloramine in certain geographic areas. Sediment and carbon filtration will suit these clients well.

Alternative Water Sources

Water from bores, river water or rainwater requires a higher level of filtration as well as disinfection, in order for it to be safe for consumption. People also recognise there are serious risks associated with drinking untreated water. We offer systems for rainwater, bore water and other alternative water sources, as complete home filtration (or multiple outlets in a building), or single taps.
