Reverse Osmosis
Freshwater System domestic reverse osmosis and ultrafiltration plants are available for home, office and small business applications, as well as in large industrial applications.
Small reverse osmosis systems are easy to maintain, robust and extremely reliable. The water can be used in its purest form, or followed by subsequent filtration to remineralise, change pH or alter properties of the water. Reverse osmosis water is also perfect for families who wish to drink rainwater, also.
What is reverse osmosis?
Reverse osmosis water systems force water through a semipermeable membrane, removing bacteria and inorganic impurities.
Reverse osmosis, with its semi-permeable membrane, acts as a molecular barrier, effectively blocking particles down to the microscopic level. This makes it an ideal choice for those seeking water that is not only clear but also free from harmful microorganisms and dissolved impurities.
Reverse osmosis water is 98.8% pure, with hard-to-remove contaminants such as sodium, chloride, fluoride, lead, pesticides, herbicides, nano-plastics and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) removed, such as those that can leach into ground water from dry cleaners and petrol stations. Reverse osmosis removes almost all Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) both organic and inorganic, leaving just water molecules.
Reverse osmosis allows you to control qualities of your own water
You can enjoy reverse osmosis water in its natural state, knowing you are consuming totally pure, contaminant-free water. Alternatively, reverse osmosis provides a ‘clean slate’ from which to add desirable qualities to your water, without the ‘hidden nasties’, such as heavy metals.
By simply adding subsequent filters to your water system, you can add specific characteristics to your base of pure water. Some common additional treatment may be adding back specific minerals in controlled dosages, such as magnesium or calcium. Alternatively, filtration allows you to alter the pH, such as making your water more alkaline, purported to be beneficial following some health treatments.
