Water Softening
Water softening can be applied to whole-house and under-sink systems.
Ion-exchange water softening resin is incorporated in filter cartridges or directly into system housing. As water flows through the resin, the harder magnesium and calcium molecules in the water are exchanged for sodium ions, which soften the water.
Domestically, water softeners are proven to assist with reducing:
- Skin irritation and hair dryness , eczema, psoriasis
- Buildup of mineral (scale) on the inside of pipes, hot water heaters, tapware and glassware
- Soap films and detergent curds in baths, showers and washing machines
- Requires less detergents , washing agents when cleaning clothes and dishes.
