This Freshwater Systems Triple filter system is ideal for whole house mains water filtration, in areas with hard water. This replacement filter pack contains the same filters as the 20″ X 4.5″ Twin Replacement Filter Pack (Mains Water), plus a third filter for water softening.

20″ X 4.5″ Triple Replacement Filter Pack (Spun, Carbon Block & Water Softening Resin) contains:

• 10″ X 4.5″ Twin Replacement Filter Pack (1 micron Polyspun & 10 micron Carbon Block)
• 10” x 4.5” housing cartridge containing water softening resin

1 Micron Polyspun Filter

Freshwater Systems polyspun sediment cartridges are constructed from polypropylene which is spun whilst melting. Compatible with most liquids they remove sediment, rust, sand, silt, and algae. They are an effective form of filtration and carry a lot of sediment before requiring replacement.

Poly spun filters are a disposable filter suited to through filtration of relatively clean water for removal of sediment.

10 Micron Carbon Block Filter

• 1 Micron Polyspun Filter
• 10 Micron Coconut Carbon Filter

Carbon is the main filtration material for removal of contaminants that discolour water or make it taste and smell unpleasant. These filters are universal and will suit all 10″ x 4.5″ Big Blue Housings regardless of supplier or brand.

Water Softening Filter

As water passes through a bed of sodium cat-ion resin, it trades calcium and magnesium ions for the sodium ions, reducing the level of hardness ions and replacing them with an equivalent number of soft ions.

The result is soft, more usable water, which reduces scale buildup, extends the life of water heaters and other appliances and the use of less detergent and most importantly reduces skin irritation.
